An online appeal is ongoing to find the possible owner of a cat that was knocked down and killed in Letterkenny on Thursday.

It’s reported that the cat was accidentally struck by a van on the Neil T Blaney road yesterday.

One person who saw the incident lifted the cat’s remains off the road.

The body is still on the grass outside New Dunnes this Friday morning.

It is not known if the cat was feral or has an owner. Animals In Need Donegal have shared a photo of the cat in the hope that it can be identified: View Here (warning, image may be distressing to some)
