There is great sadness of loss in the Creeslough community following the passing of Don Langan.

The hugely popular father-of-two will be remembered as a person who loved nothing more than helping others in his locality.

Although a painter and decorator by trade, Don had man y hats and volunteered when asked no matter how big or small the request.

Don, from Main Street in Creeslough, passed away following a short illness.

He will be missed by the entire community but especially by his wife Annette, daughter Shauna and son Aaron.

This evening, St Michael GAA Club paid a touching tribute to a man who gave so much time to the club.

Don was a fixture at the club for many years, both on the pitch as a player and referee, and off the pitch as a true gentleman.

His beloved club paid tribute to him today, following news of his passing.

“Don was not only a valued player and club referee for many years but also a beloved figure who brought so much joy and laughter to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him,” St Michael’s posted.

“His presence lit up any room he entered. Don leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication and fond memories, a gentleman who always looked on the bright side of life.”

“Our heartfelt condolences to his wife Annette, daughter Shauna & husband Steven, grandson Zack and son Aaron – may Don Rest in Peace.”
