There was shock this evening as Donegal’s Mickey Joe Harte was first to be eliminated from RTE’s Dancing with the Stars.
The Lifford man put in a solid showing with even the hosts suggesting it was his best performance to date.
But it wasn’t enough to stop the former Eurovision star from getting the bullet from the show.
Mickey said he was delighted to have had so much craic and also having made so many new friends.
But he said he was especially gutted for his pro partner Daniela Roze who was dancing for the first year in the show.
“It’s one of those things,” Mickey Joe said afterwards. “I’m so disappointed for Daniella because it’s her first year and she worked really hard to get me to this level.”
There is still hope for Donegal in the show, however.
Danny O’Carroll just about managed to avoid the chop and lives to dance another day!
