Gardaí are seeking information about a man wearing a balaclava and dressed in black who caused substantial damage to a car in Letterkenny last month.

The incident occurred at Orchard Crescent Letterkenny on Thursday the 19 th of December between approximately 10.20am and 10.25am.

A man approached a parked car in that area and poured an unknown substance all over it causing substantial damage.

The man in question was dressed all in black and he wore a balaclava. He made his way from Orchard Crescent on foot in the direction of Ard O’Donnell following the incident.

“We appeal to anybody who travelled in the areas of Orchard Crescent, the High Road or Ard O’Donnell on that date with a dash cam between 10am and 11am to make the footage available to Gardaí,” Sergeant Eunan Walsh said.

“We are confident that someone will have observed this man due to his unusual attire and the fact that he was on foot in broad daylight in such a busy area.”

If anybody can assist with dash cam footage or relevant information, they are urged to contact Letterkenny Garda Station on 074 9167100 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
