A Donegal student has been presented with the Trinity College ‘Excellence in the Leaving Cert’ award.

Zara Mc Ginley received her secondary education at Pobalscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola (PCC Falcarragh).

“We are so proud of Zara McGinley, who was awarded the Trinity College Entrance Scholarship for ‘Excellence in the Leaving Cert’ this evening in Dublin,” the school posted on its social media channels yesterday.

The scholarship is given to students entering Trinity who achieved the highest points in their Leaving Certificate.

Zara is pictured with her proud parents Sinéad and James Anthony McGinley. Also in attendance were PCC principal Maeve Sweeney, Linda Doyle Provost of Trinity College and Professor Vincent Wade.
