Over 500,000 homes remain without power nationwide as Storm Eowyn cleanup begins

Over half a million homes are still without power this morning, as the country begins to count the cost of Storm Eowyn.

As of 8am this morning, 528,000 homes were without electricity nationwide according to the ESB.

Tens of thousands of houses in Donegal remain without power this morning, with no exact repair times for many outages being provided by the ESB as of yet.

It may take emergency repair crews up to a week to repair all outages due to the vast scale of destruction caused by the historic storm.

You can keep an eye on repair times for your area via the ESB’s PowerCheck website – https://powercheck.esbnetworks.ie/
