Stranorlar post-primary school Finn Valley College is opening its facilities today to people in need following Storm Éowyn.

The school is offering  support to families who have been without water, heat or cooking facilities since Friday.

Warm showers will be available in the school gym and food will also be provided. Wifi and power facilities are available for charging phones.

A notice from the school said: “In the aftermath of Storm Eowyn, we understand that many families may be without power, heat, and other essential resources. As we reopen on Monday, and to support our school community during this time, we are welcoming those in need to use our school facilities.

“We’re here to help however we can. Please don’t hesitate to ask and to use our facilities if you need assistance.”

Anyone in need of the facilities is asked to contact the school before visiting: (074) 913 1684
