Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault on Main Street, Buncrana last weekend.
A man reported that he was standing outside a takeaway in the early hours of Sunday the 26th of January (at approx. 3.30am) when he was approached from behind by a group of males and females who proceeded to assault him.
None of his injuries are believed to be life-threatening in nature.
Gardaí have today issued an appeal to anybody who may have witnessed the incident to make contact.
“If anybody travelled at Main Street, Buncrana with a dash cam between 3am and 4am on that date, we ask them to make the footage available to us. Gardaí in Buncrana may be contacted on 074-9320540,” a spokesperson said.
