It’s the end of an era at St. Eunan’s College in Letterkenny after an iconic tree was toppled by Storm Éowyn.

A towering Monkey Puzzle Tree, that had stood on the grounds for over 100 years, met its end on Friday evening.

The tree was a beloved landmark and silent witness to countless memories in the school’s history.

The school said the tree has stood over 100 years “watching over Saint Eunan’s and the generations of students who have walked through the doors.”
