National: Two young men killed in Carlow crash

Two men in their 20s have been killed and two other people were seriously injured in a road crash in Co Carlow in the early hours of this morning.

The single-vehicle crash occurred on the N80 in Leagh, Rathoe, County Carlow at approximately 1.15am this morning, Friday 31st January 2025.

The male driver (20s) and a male passenger (20s) died at the scene.

Two passengers of the car, a male and female aged in their 20s, were taken to St. Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
