Donegal workplace accident victim to laid to rest today

Communities in Fermanagh and Donegal will come together today to mourn a popular husband, father and friend who lost his life in a workplace accident in south Donegal last week.

Gerry Keown, of Roscor, Belleek, Co Fermanagh, suffered a fatal accident at a premises at Lisahully in Ballyshannon on Wednesday afternoon.

Gerry had retired from working at the Mill Park Hotel in Donegal Town last year, after almost 20 years of service.

His funeral mass takes place at 11am this morning in St. John the Baptist Church, Toura followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

He is survived by his beloved wife Marie and son Jason, sister Mary and Tony, dear brother Patrick and Breege, family circle and his cherished friends.
