Relay for Life Donegal is back for another year, and team registration is officially open.
This incredible 24-hour event will take place at the ATU Letterkenny Campus from 4 PM on Saturday, May 24th, to 4 PM on Sunday, May 25th, 2025.
Relay for Life is a community-driven event that raises vital funds for the Irish Cancer Society while celebrating cancer survivors, remembering loved ones lost, and standing together in the fight against cancer.
Cancer never sleeps, so nor do our Relay teams. In this 24 hour event teams join together to walk through the day and night. Members of teams take it in turns to walk a designated distance or time, with someone from the team being on the move at all times in the 24 hour period.
When not walking, members of the teams, and their friends, families and colleagues socialise, enjoy live entertainment and take part in activities arranged by their committee.
There is also a Candle of Hope ceremony, where thousands of candle bags that have been personalised with messages of hope and remembrance are lit at dusk with a beautiful ceremony involving music and speeches.
What Can Teams Expect?
By joining Relay for Life Donegal, teams will:
* Walk the track in solidarity with survivors and those currently battling cancer.
* Celebrate Survivors during the inspiring opening ceremony and survivors’ lap.
* Light Up the Night at the poignant Candle of Hope ceremony.

* Support a Great Cause by fundraising to help provide essential services for cancer patients and their families.
