Donegal County Council has today closed the Bonagee Bridge due to safety concerns.

The bridge is located on a lane behind the Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny.

“A full inspection of the bridge is to be carried out with repairs where possible,” said a council spokesperson.

Councillor Ciaran Brogan will raise a motion at tomorrow’s Letterkenny-Milford MD meeting, demanding immediate action to address the bridge’s dangerous condition.
