Gardaí are appealing for information after a driver fled the scene of a crash in Falcarragh last week.

The collision occurred at Carrowcannon, beside Falcarragh National School, on Saturday the 1st of February at approximately 6pm.

A silver VW Passat ’04 DL’ was driven out of a parking space into the path of an oncoming van. Substantial

damage was caused to the van.

However, the driver of the car left the area on foot following the incident. He is described as being a young male, of stocky build and he was wearing a grey hoodie. Thankfully no injuries were reported.

“If anybody observed the male in question on foot, if they have dash cam footage from the area or if they can assist in any way with this investigation they are asked to contact Milford Gardaí on 074 9153060,” Garda Grainne Doherty said.

The Garda Confidential Line may also be contacted on 1800 666 111.
