It has been confirmed that this year’s Ardara Walking Festival has been cancelled.

The organisers, Walk on the Wild Side, stated in a social media post the hugely popular annual event will not be going ahead due to ‘circumstances beyond our control.’

The festival has taken place every March for more than a decade.

“Unfortunately this year, the Ardara Walking Festival will not be going ahead,” their statement read.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control we have made the reluctant decision to take a break until next year. Please keep an eye out for other upcoming walks later in the year. Looking forward to seeing you all on the hills soon. Stay safe.”

For further information and updates, go to the Walk on the Wild Side Facebook page.
