Hair today, gone tomorrow for Letterkenny lads raising money for Irish Cancer Society

Two lads from Letterkenny are sacrificing their curly locks for a good cause.

Brothers Donall and Ronan Higgins will be going under the shears for the Irish Cancer Society.

They’re taking part in the Irish Cancer Society’s Battle Cancer event, and in doing so shaving their heads to help the cause.

Battle Cancer 2025 takes place on March the 22nd, with nationwide fundraisers taking place – just a week before the Society’s annual Daffodil Day on the 28th of March.

The fundraiser for Donall and Ronan’s shave was set up by their sister Alison, and has already raised almost €2,000 with more than a month to go.

In the fundraiser, Alison says that supporting cancer patients like her mother is a big reason why they are taking part in Battle Cancer.

“On March 22nd I will be taking part in Battle Cancer and as part of that, I am raising money to help support cancer patients like my mum and families like ours. Your support will help make a difference,” she said via the fundraiser’s page.
