Donegal car dealers to team up for charity Donegal International Car Push!

A group of some of the main auto dealers in Donegal will be teaming up to support Relay for Life with a special edition of the Donegal International Car Push!

Just as the group did in 2017, the group of Donegal auto dealers will recreate the fantastic success of the 2017 Donegal International Car Push on Wednesday, May 21st at 7pm.

But this time around they’ve enlisted the help of some local gyms and fitness centres to do the pushing this time!

The route will be as follows: starting point at Divers’ Hyundai onto the Neil T. Blaney Road, turning left at the Joe Bonner Road traffic lights, joining the Port Road again, turning left at the Station House Roundabout and then passing the Community Centre again back to the starting point at Divers’ for a second lap.

Plans are also in place to hire a rally or celebrity driver to steer the car around the course also!

The event is open to all of the main auto dealers in the county, as well as any gyms and fitness centres.

Each motor dealer will be paired with a gym for the event also.

A launch night took place last Thursday at the Mount Errigal Hotel, with planning well underway for the event.

Relay for Life is the biggest cancer fundraising initiative across the world. It sees communities across the globe coming together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and stand shoulder to shoulder with those facing cancer. Relay For Life is a celebration of solidarity and helps to raise awareness of the services provided by the Irish Cancer Society locally and nationally.

To provide these services requires significant funding and as only approximately 5% of the Irish Cancer Societies Annual Funding comes from Government Funds, it depends on events such as Relay For Life Donegal to help raise the monies needed.

Obviously not everyone will be able to be present on the day, but donations can be made online through the following link: https://www.relayforlife.ie/event/donegal/donate

Relay has something to offer everyone, so please do join us to find out more about this amazing event.

Additional contact details can be found on Relay For Life Donegal Facebook Page, at relayforlifedonegal@gmail.com or by contacting Seamus Devine (087 24 82 775), Charlie Quinn (087 772 86 08), or Sarah Marie McDevitt (087 982 89 74)
