Technical Support Executive at Irish Garage Equipment

Job description
This role is a full time office based role, which involves diagnosing and repairing faults in equipment both mechanical and electrical generators, power washers, air compressors, hydraulic equipment via phone, WhatsApp or email.
Assist customers in fault diagnoses by phone, WhatsApp and email.
Experience Required
Single cylinder 2 & 4 stroke engines, Diesel and Petrol
Hydraulic rams, jacks (Not essential but a bonus)
Basic electrics for machinery, DC & AC
Computer, word, excel and email
Fluent English
Attention to detail
Good at paperwork essential
Qualifications
QQI level 4, Leaving Cert or equivalent
Experience in the industry
Qualified or part qualified QQI mechanical apprenticeship
Terms
A competitive basic salary based on relevant experience.
6 Months probation, all work will be inspected during this period.
20 days holidays per year (or pro rata)
Immediate start
Working hours Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00, 30 minutes for lunch

Shop Counter Assistant
Irish Garage Equipment is the leading supplier of tools and garage equipment in Ireland, based in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin
We are looking to recruit a Full Time (6 month probation) shop counter person/assistant to join our growing team.
Job Description:
This is a great opportunity for people that are interested in the automotive industry and want to further their knowledge of the industry. Your role will also involve greeting customers, helping them find the products they need/want and answering the telephone, cash/card handling and keeping the counter clean and tidy.
At least 3 years previous experience in a similar role is ESSENTIAL
(Please DO NOT apply if you do not have any knowledge and interest in cars/trucks/machinery)
Role and Responsibilities:
Serving customers at the counter
Answering the telephone
Replying to customers via email and messenger
Good computer literacy
Preparing customer quotations
Customer order picking and packing
Goods in / out responsibilities
Re-stocking/replenishing items on the showroom
Conduct stock takes as requested
Liaise with other staff on any issues
Updating product info on our system
Requirements for this role:
Knowledge in cars and/or car parts is essential!
Positive attitude and ability to use own initiative
Excellent communication skills
Fluent in English
Good problem solving skills
Good customer service skills
Good telephone and IT skills
At least 3 years previous experience in a similar role.
