An investigation is underway after a driver fled the scene of a two-car collision on the Porthall to St. Johnston Road last weekend.

The incident took place on Sunday afternoon at around 3.20pm in an area known locally as the ‘block of five’.

The driver and passenger of one of the cars sustained injuries which gardaí described as not life-threatening in nature.

The driver of the second car left the area.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for dash cam footage from road users who may have travelled on the Porthall to St. Johnston Road between 3pm and 3.30pm on Sunday.

“If anybody can assist with dash cam footage or with relevant information, they are asked to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100,” a spokesperson said.
