Battery stolen from digger in Lifford

Gardaí are investigating the theft of a battery from a digger in Lifford.

The incident occurred at Combermore, Townparks, Lifford between 5pm on Tuesday the 18th of February and 7.30am on Wednesday the 19th of February.

A Kubota digger was parked overnight, and sometime during that period, the battery cover was damaged and the battery stolen.

A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anyone who may be able to assist the investigation with relevant information to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. Any relevant information may alternatively be passed to the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.”
