TG4 is proud to have received nine nominations at Gradaim RTS / The Royal Television Society Ireland Awards 2025, celebrating the excellence of Irish entertainment productions and partnerships.

Donegal-made crime drama CRÁ and children’s cartoon Lí Ban, co-created by Letterkenny woman Gráinne McGuinness, are among the hit shows to get a nod.

CRÁ, filmed in West Donegal, gained huge awards interest since its release last year. It is nominated for a best Scripted award this time.

The series follows a murder investigation that begins when Garda Conall Ó Súilleabháin’s missing mother is discovered buried in a bog. Donegal actors Seán T. Ó Meallaigh, Charlie Bonner, Andrea Emmett and Denis Grindel feature.

Cula4 and S4C series Li Ban is a finalist for best Animation & Children’s Programme.

Sadbh Breathnach from Manorcunningham stars as the voice of sassy 12-year-old Lí Ban. The series is co-created by Letterkenny woman Gráinne McGuinness who is the Creative Director of Paper Owl Films in Belfast. Together with writer Máire Zepf, they are breathing new life into a forgotten local legend, the story of Lough Neagh mermaid, Lí Ban.

TG4 received multiple Gradaim RTS nominations across various categories: Live Sports (Aer Lingus Classic Football Championship, GAA BEO, and Rugbaí Beo), Factual Series (Naíonra), Current Affairs (Idir Dhá Bhaile: Ó Chív go Corcaigh), Factual Entertainment (Téacs Taistil), and Entertainment (CUMASC: Seisiúin sa Black Gate).

The Gradaim RTS / The RTS Ireland awards, which had a record number of entries this year, will be announced at a prestigious ceremony on Thursday, 27th March at the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin.
