Gortahork plumber John Columb will be one of “Na Builders” to feature in a new TG4 series that shines the spotlight on construction workers from across the country.

The series will tell the stories of the 160,000+ people employed in the construction industry in Ireland.

From bricklayers to electricians, plumbers to roofers, plasterers to carpenters these hard- working men and women are part of our everyday lives in Ireland.

John Columb of Gortahork, Donegal, offers service plumbing, including bathroom renovations and council grant work. As a self-employed plumber, he focuses on serving his local community, typically within a 10-15 minute travel time. He appreciates the diverse range of clients and projects his work brings.

In ‘Na Plumbers’, John will be seen doing work on the Shamrock Bar in Falcarragh. Owner Margaret Doohan will also feature.

Across seven episodes the series will spend time with builders of all shapes and sizes, in rural and urban settings;  looking at what they are building and who they are building for and getting a real sense of where we are in building Ireland these days.

Na Builders airs on Thursdays from 20th of March at 9.30pm on TG4.
