Letterkenny’s most famous pizzeria slices delivery routes over traffic congestion

Traffic congestion in Letterkenny has forced the town’s most famous pizzeria to cut a number of its delivery routes.

Pat’s Pizza, which was set up in 1984 by Mary and Pat Bradley, is arguably Letterkenny’s most popular pizza shop.

It sells thousands of tasty crusted offerings from its base at at Sliabh Dromond neat the Mountain Top in Letterkenny.

But such is the issue with increasing traffic in the town that management this week decided to cut some of the rotes they deliver to.

A spokesperson said “Due to increasing congestion, we have had to make a difficult decision to adjust our delivery zones.

“Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to deliver to certain areas outside our updated boundary.
Areas no longer covered include: Kilmacrennan, Legnahoorey, Newmills and parts of Ballymaleer and surrounding regions.

“This decision wasn’t made lightly, but it allows us to maintain the quality and speed of service you deserve.

“We truly appreciate your understanding and would love to continue serving you in-store for pickup orders. Thank you for being a part of our journey—we look forward to bringing you great pizza for years to come!”

Some on social media have reacted to the news with horror.

One customer pleaded “Would you not just get mopeds for deliveries?”
