Donegal Gaelic football legend Eamon McGee will feature in the series finale of TG4’s popular Laochra Gael programme.

Now in its 23rd season, Laochra Gael profiles the hidden stories behind some of the biggest names in Gaelic games.

The season finale will follow McGee’s journey to becoming one of the best defenders in the country, as part of a Donegal side that won the All-Ireland and scored numerous Ulster successes during his time.

While detailing the Gaoth Dobhair man’s strength, drive and tenacity to reach the top – things were not always straightforward for McGee.

The programme is set to detail the personal battles Eamon faced behind the scenes, as he strived for greatness in the brightest of spotlights.

The series finale of Laochra Gael airs on Thursday the 13th March at 9:30pm on TG4.
