The Committee of the North West Breast Cancer Ball in Letterkenny are thrilled to announce that over €6,000 has been raised for breast cancer support and research thanks to the incredible generosity of our community.

December’s much-anticipated ball had to be cancelled due to severe storm conditions. However, despite this setback, the response from ticket holders and sponsors was “nothing short of amazing”.

“Many people chose to donate their ticket fees, and additional contributions poured in, ensuring that significant funds were still raised for this important cause,” organisers said.

“We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported the event, whether by donating, purchasing tickets, or contributing in other ways.

“While we were disappointed not to be able to celebrate in person, the kindness and support from our community have been truly heartwarming. Every penny raised will go towards helping those affected by breast cancer, making a real difference in their lives.”

The committee has also confirmed that the Breast Cancer Ball will return on Friday 5th December 2025!

“We can’t wait to bring everyone together once again for an evening of celebration, reflection, and fundraising for this important cause. Please save the date in your Social Diary,” they said.
