Gardaí have issued a warning to the public that a number of fake £20 Sterling notes are currently circulating in County Donegal.
The notes in question are fraudulent remakes of the £20 note featuring the face of English painter William Turner.
Gardaí are asking the public to check any notes they may have in their possession, and in particular to examine the serial number.
The fraudulent notes feature a serial number that ends in “257”, and the fakes are described of being “good quality”.
