As St. Patrick’s Day approaches, Donegal Youth Service (DYS) is gearing up to host a vibrant celebration for all the family on March 17th, 2024, from 12 – 4 pm at 16-18 Port Road. With a focus on providing a safe and alcohol-free environment, the event aims to offer young people and their families an alternative way to celebrate.

The event will feature a range of activities, including:

  • Face painting
  • Hair braiding
  • Arts and crafts activities
  • Tasty food options
  • Live music performances from young artists participating in the Irish Youth Music Awards debut.

A new addition to our annual event this year will be a Thrifty Threads popup shop, offering affordable clothing for all family members, promoting sustainability, and supporting the DYS positive action project.

“We believe that every young person deserves a safe and supportive environment where they can have fun and celebrate without the pressure to drink alcohol,” said Pauric Bell at Donegal Youth Service.

The DYS has thanked Donegal County Council for supporting the event.
