Dozens of animals feared dead following blaze on Raphoe farm

A number of animals are feared dead following a large fire in East Donegal last night.

The fire started on a farm in the Lettergull area of Raphoe.

Nobody was hurt during the blaze.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed “Gardaí and emergency services attended a fire that occurred at a property in the Lettergull area of Co. Donegal on the 13th March 2025 at approximately 11pm.

“No injuries have been reported at this time.

“The scene has been preserved and a technical examination will follow. Investigations are ongoing.”

The property on which the blaze broke out belongs to a well-known local farmer.
