Broken lights to be replaced in Rathmullan

Donegal County Council is set to repair and replace lights at Rathmullan’s beach car park after safety concerns were raised.

Councillor Pauric McGarvey pointed out the dangers to the council at the March meeting of the Letterkenny-Milford MD.

He said that, while the design of the lights fit in well with the area following pier upgrade, there are some defective lights and missing lights that require attention.

Cllr McGarvey called on the council to repair them as soon as possible.

In response, the council said that the faults have been logged on the Public Lighting Fault reporting site. The necessary repairs are now included in the contractor’s works programme.
