Organisers of the Poor Farmers Auction in Ardara have proudly presented €49,500 to their chosen charities after another successful event.

Three cheques for €16,500 were handed to Resource Centre Ardara (funding for a sensory room), Cancer Care West and the Irish Cancer Society Palliative Care Nurses.

The presentation took place in Teague’s Bar, the centre of the action on auction night each December.

“Many thanks again to all who support the Poor Farmers Auction,” they said.

To date, the P.F.A has raised an astonishing €572,649.
