Inishowen Engineering require the following vacancy to be filled at its Manufacturing facility at  Shandrum, Buncrana, Co. Donegal, F93 NY98  – Quality Technician.

Description

We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team. 

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products, which are essential to our commitment to excellence in service delivery. As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in checking products at different stages of production process to meet industry standards and specifications. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives, establishing metrics and benchmarks to continually enhance our operational processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in quality assurance or quality control, along with strong critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Document inspection results and variances, and prepare reports for management review.
  • Identify and recommend solutions for process improvements based on inspection findings.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks on production processes to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality assessments for compliance and traceability.
  • Assist in the auditing process for ISO Standards : ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quality Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Certification in quality control or inspection (e.g., ISO 9001) is an advantage.
  • Certification/Qualification in Engineering or relevant experience in related industries.
  • Proficient in Solid Work, Auto Cad, Xcel, Word.
  • Experience in the operation of CMM measuring equipment (Probing & Scanning)
