Youth assaulted by five young people in Burnfoot

Gardaí are investigating a serious assault on a youth which took place in the middle of Burnfoot village last week.

The incident occurred on Tuesday the 11 th of March at approx. 8pm. It has been alleged that a male youth was assaulted at that location by five other youths (3 male and 2 female). He sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540. 

“We are particularly interested in hearing from anybody who may have travelled through Burnfoot with a dash-cam between 7.45pm and 8.15pm on that date,” a garda spokesperson said.
