Drunk driver arrested for speeding at 153KPH in south Donegal

A motorist was arrested this morning after being caught under the influence while speeding.

The incident occurred on the N15 in the region of Donegal Town.

The driver was clocked speeding at 153KPH in a 100KPH zone.

The driver was stopped by Gardaí and subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink driving. They have since been charged and are scheduled to appear before the courts at a later date.

Gardaí have issued a warning ahead of the weekend: “Never drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Slow down.”
