All are welcome as a Big Beach Clean gets underway in Rathmullan this morning.

Rathmullan Tidy Towns & Coastal Care are looking for local support in their big spring clean, with families and younger adults especially being saught to lend a helping hand.

The clean gets underway at 10am, with bibs, pickers and gloves available outside the White Harte for anyone interested – anyone who has their own equipment can bring it along as well.

Refreshments will be served afterwards at the Boat Yard Sheds at approximately 12pm.

A rota has been organised to also cover many of the approach roads to Rathmullan including at Browne Knowe, Moss Road, Ray, Ballyboes, Craig, Portsalon & Kinnegar Road.

“Hopefully, this will ensure all of the approach roads and the town & beaches have a ‘good Spring clean’ in time for another busy Easter season,” Rathmullan Tidy Towns said ahead of the clean.

“We appeal to all road users to please drive with due care and respect this morning and allow our many Volunteers’ do their best to ‘make each Metre Matter!'”

“Denis our ‘man with the van’ will be out later in the day to pick up the bags, & thanks to Donegal County Council Environment section for their support.”
