Jobs: Community Development roles open with DLDC

Donegal Local Development CLG is an integrated local development company established in 1995. We deliver multiple external funded programmes to the Donegal community.

Donegal Local Development CLG (DLDC) are now inviting applications for three roles within the Community Development team.

Details of the three opportunities are summarised below: 

  • Community Development Project Officer (Committee Support) will have a particular focus on supporting committees in community organisations across the catchment area. A recognised and relevant Third Level qualification and / OR a minimum of 3 years’ experience of Community Development with previous experience working with community committees and evidence of successfully building their capacity. Fixed Term contract to end of SICAP 2024-2028 programme, based in Letterkenny. 
  • Community Connector will engage with communities across Donegal, supporting those hosting people seeking international protection, fostering inclusivity and strengthening relationships. A recognised and relevant Third Level qualification and / OR equivalent relevant training and related professional experience. A minimum of 5 years direct experience working with marginalised individuals and/or communities impacted by poverty, exclusion and disadvantage. Fixed Term contract of 18 months subject to funding, based in Letterkenny. 
  • Community Development Project Officer (Gaeltacht) required for the SICAP Goal 1 Empowering Communities team; in Gweedore servicing the Gaeltacht area. A recognised and relevant Third Level qualification and / OR a minimum of 3 years’ experience of Community Development is required. Fixed term contract to 31 December 2025 in line with New Arrivals funding.
