The people of Letterkenny and Donegal again showed their solidarity with the people of Palestine across a number of events today.

A March for Palestine was held in Letterkenny this afternoon, organised by the Donegal branch of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

A large crowd turned out to condemn the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, with the event in Letterkenny also coinciding with a Solidarity Vigil being held in Donegal Town today.

It is estimated that over 50,000 Palestinians have been killed since October of 2023 by Israeli forces, with hundreds of thousands being forcibly displaced as a result of the devastating attacks on civilians in the West Bank.

Today’s events called for an end to the Israeli slaughter of Palestinians, and also urged the Irish Government to pass the Occupied Territories Bill.
