Road tragedy victim Danny Gallagher to be laid to rest today

Downings man Danny Gallagher, who tragically died in a road incident last Saturday, will be laid to rest today.

Funeral Mass for Mr Gallagher, of the Glebe, Downings, will take place at Church of St John the Baptist in Carrigart at 11am, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr Gallagher died in a single-vehicle collision on the R245 at Carrigart at around 1pm on Saturday afternoon.

A much-loved husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife Marian, his daughters Roisin and Sharon, his sons Seamus, Martin, Paul and Danny, brothers Ned and Micheal, sisters AnneMarie and Cait, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and a wide circle of relatives and friends.
