Applications for the CLÁR 2025 programme have opened today, with funding available for small-scale infrastructural projects in rural areas.

Donegal Fianna Fáil TD Pat The Cope Gallagher has welcomed the opening of the scheme and enhanced rates.

Measure 1 focuses on community facilities and amenities, including youth clubs, playgrounds, sensory gardens, and walking tracks, etc. The maximum funding for this measure has been increased to €65,000, up from €50,000.

Measure 2 provides support for community transport, such as meals on wheels vehicles and community first responders.

Measure 3 is the ‘Our Islands’ measure, specifically for offshore islands.

Minister for Rural and Community Development Dara Calleary has introduced a new option this year allowing local authorities to apply for funding of up to €100,000 for two larger scale projects. Additionally, there is an extra application available for Local Authorities with Gaeltacht areas specifically for those areas.

Applications are made via local authorities. The closing date for Measure 1 and 3 is June 13th, while the closing date for Measure 2 is May 23rd.
