Fr Tierney Park in Ballyshannon is set to play host to over 100 groups of American tourists this summer, as they will introduce visitors to Gaelic Games.
Volunteers from the stadium’s home club, Aodh Ruadh, will host the introductory sessions for the third summer in a row, with the first sessions of the year beginning last week – and groups booked until September.
Not only does the club introduce visitors to the sport and Donegal’s thriving Gaelic Games culture – it is also a key contributor in helping the club continue its development work at both Fr Tierney Park and at Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh.
The club is looking to recruit any Aodh Ruadh club members who are interested in assisting in delivering the tours and accompanying the existing guides.
Anyone from the club that is interested can speak to Michael Daly, Sarah Drummond, Patsy Kilgannon or Tom Daly.
Volunteers are required to dedicate four hours time commitment a week, mainly from Monday to Friday, throughout 2025.
