The Niall Mór Community & Enterprise Centre in Killybegs played host to a special event this week celebrating One Donegal Social Inclusion Week.

The event, organised in partnership with the Killybegs Men’s Shed, Killybegs Active Age, Bruckless Active Age, the Niall Mór Centre, and the Donegal Social Inclusion Unit, brought together community members to promote inclusion, safety, and support for older people.

Cathaoirleach Cllr. Niamh Kennedy opened the event, welcoming guests and emphasising the importance of building a supportive community where everyone feels valued.

Attendees heard from key speakers, including Garda Fergus McGrory from An Garda Síochána, Michael Purtill from ALONE, and Mairéad Cranley from Age Friendly Ireland, who shared insights on phone safety, community supports, and age-friendly initiatives in Donegal.
