Ardara’s famous Anonymous Art Auction hopes to raise thousands of euro for charity this weekend.

Organised by Claire Molloy, it will feature at least 60 pieces of beautiful artwork by both known artists and local people. The unique event is being held in Nancy’s Bar on Saturday at 8.30 pm and will raise much needed funds for Ardara Community Childcare Ltd and The Ardara Men’s Shed. You can view all the artwork to date on ‘Ardara Anonymous Art Auction 2025’ on Facebook and on Instagram Clrmolloy72024

“So far, I have 60 pieces of beautiful artwork, in different mediums and sizes both in portrait and landscape forms, by both known artists and local people,” Claire told Donegal Daily.

“I have some special pieces of work from our local Ukrainian residents and from far and wide around the country.”

The Auction will be anonymous, in other words, you don’t know whose art you are purchasing until you have bought it!

You are buying the artwork for the appreciation of the artwork. So it could be an artist or a local’s name on the back of the piece.

Bids will be taken for any piece of artwork seen on the Facebook page by contacting Clare Molloy on Messenger or WhatsApp before Friday.
