National: Tragedy as man (30s) killed while driving lawnmower on road

Gardaí say that a man in his 30s was killed yesterday evening when the lawnmower he was driving collided with a car.

The incident took place on the N76 near Kilcash, County Tipperary shortly before 10pm last night.

According to Gardaí, the lawnmower was being driven on the road before colliding with another car at Kilcash Cross.

The driver of the lawnmower was killed at the scene. No one else was injured in the crash.

His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place.

Gardaí have appealed to any witnesses to come forward.
