John Meencha is the winner of the annual John Harkin cup.
He was victorious after nine weeks of darts competition, defeating the defending Harkin cup champion Andrew Gillespie 6-1 in the final.
Meencha’s route to the final also saw him topple the in-form Stephen Harron in the semi-final 5-4, notching two impressive ton-plus finishes in the process.
Despite the defeat, Stephen’s two 180s on the night made it a total of 34 maximums in the competition, the most of anyone.
In the other semi final Gillespie defeated James Byrne 5-1, taking advantage of some missed doubles from Byrne.
Meanwhile in the shield Des McGettigan came out on top against Peter Mascenik 5-1, with Peter reaching his first local final.
The Under-23s competition was claimed by Paidí Cunningham, defeating Aaron Byrne 3-1 to win his first darts title.
