A local Councillor says that a water outage affecting parts of Creeslough may go on into this evening and beyond.
Uisce Eireann crews have been at the site at the Log Cabin area of Creeslough since this morning, where a mains pipe burst.
“A new Trunk main needs to be replaced as this is ongoing regularly now recently,” Cllr Michael McClafferty said.
“Thanks to our local water team of workers are doing their best in difficult circumstances.”
While repairs had been scheduled to be completed by 2pm, there are still many in the area without water supply.
Cllr McClafferty has called on Uisce Eireann management to meet with him and the other West Donegal Councillors regarding some of the “hot spots” where water outages are constant.
“Irish water need to meet with myself and my colleagues from West Donegal, (they must) listen to us and fix these hot spots that are constantly bursting.”
