Assault victim ‘stable’ in hospital after Letterkenny incident

Gardaí have said a man in his 50s is in a stable condition in hospital after an incident in the centre of Letterkenny last night.

An area of the town’s upper main street was cordoned this morning as a result of investigations being carried out.

“Gardaí are investigating an assault on a man in his 50s following an incident outside a premises on Main Street, Letterkenny, shortly after 9 pm on Sunday,” a garda spokesperson said.

“He was transported by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital, where his condition is understood to be stable. Investigations are ongoing.”
