A wide selection of Donegal’s magical musical talent was on display at the recent Annual Cathaoirleach’s Concert on Friday night last.

The concert, An Evening with Moya Brennan, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh and Friends, also raised vital funds for Donegal Domestic Violence Services, with all proceeds going towards them.

There were performances from Maura Logue, George Houston, The Friel Sisters, Cathal Ó Curráin, Marty Barry, Isla Callister, the Danu Young Womens Choir, Dr Helen Haughey, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Nia Byrne, Manus Lunny, Valerie Bryce, Eoin Ferry – and finally, Moya Brennan and her band, accompanied by Cormac De Barra, Aisling Jarvis, Paul Jarvis and Claire Friel.

The concert’s stunning finale then saw Moya Brennan, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, members of the Danu Young Womens Choir and all of the performers taking to the stage for Lord of the Dance and the Clannad classic, Téir Abhaile.

On the night, Dr Marie Hainsworth from Donegal Domestic Violence Services thanked all for participating in and attending the concert and hoped that this would be the beginning of a long partnership and collaboration with Donegal County Council.

You can view some of the great images from the concert below.
