Efforts to repair a burst water main in Letterkenny are expected to continue for two more days.

A major burst occurred at Lower Main Street on Saturday, affecting homes and businesses in the areas of Market Square, Lower Main Street, Ballymacool, Old Town and Pearl Road.

Works are scheduled to take place until 3am on the morning of Wednesday 30th April, Uisce Eireann has announced.

“We recommend that you allow 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return,” said a statement to customers.
