The Cara House Family Resource Centre in Letterkenny is to host its second Senior Services Awareness Event.
After the overwhelming success of its inaugural Senior Services Awareness event in February, the centre has announced a second gathering of local support services on Monday the 19th May, from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
This community-centred event aims to continue raising awareness about the vital services available to seniors and other community members right on their doorstep.
By bringing together a new group of local service providers, the event also seeks to build stronger connections among agencies—ultimately improving the care and support offered to those who need it most.
“After the fantastic response in February, we knew this was something the community truly values,” said Katie McGee, Active Age Coordinator for Cara House.
“Our goal is not only to inform people of the support available, but also to foster a spirit of collaboration among service providers to ensure no one falls through the cracks.”
Attendees can expect to meet a wide range of organizations offering services in areas such as health, social care, mental well-being, senior engagement, and community development. The event is free and open to all.
Engaging in this event are Pieta House, MABS, No Barriers Foundation, Donegal Fire Service, the HSE Living Well Programme and Dovida Home Help.
Cara House are encouraging everyone – from seniors and caregivers to family members and interested neighbours – to come along, have a chat, and learn more about what’s available to support them and their loved ones.
