Downings man Eric Roberts will be on our TV screens all weekend as the main presenter of Ireland AM on Virgin Media One.
The TikTokker will host the morning show this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“I’m absolutely terrified, I’m excited, I’m nervous. This to me is just insane,” Eric said.
Eric, who became a popular influencer during the pandemic, has had a meteoric rise to fame online which has led him to some major presenting gigs of award shows and red carpet interviews.
He’s the most followed person in Donegal, but admitted that he still can’t believe the opportunities that have come his way.
He said: “I’ve worked incredibly hard over the last few years doing six-hour round trips up and down to Dublin to do a four minute slot on TV, which is crazy. Doing that, hosting the IFTAs, the Gossies and doing the red carpets have all built up and led to this opportunity which I am incredibly grateful for.”
Looking ahead to the weekend’s shows, he told followers: “I feel like I’ve worked very hard to get to this point. I have horrific imposter syndrome and I’m terrified it’s going to be awful but I’m hoping it goes very well.
“With the amount I’ve done over the last few years, it’s crazy to say but it feels like I’m only at the start of my career and this is a huge step in the right direction.”
