Siobhán Peoples, the daughter of legendary Donegal fiddler Tommy Peoples, will be among the winners at the Gradaim Ceoil TG4 this weekend.
Siobhán, who was raised in Clare, traces her musical history through her late father, Tommy, who hailed from St. Johnston and through her grandmother, Kitty Linnane, who was the pianist with the original Kilfenora Ceili Band.
Siobhán as Ceoltóir na Bliana, along with the other category recipients will be presented with her award at the annual Gradam Ceoil concert which takes place this year on Sunday May 4th at the University Concert Hall Limerick.
On the night, awardees will be joined by a stellar lineup of special guests for a night of music, celebration, and live performances, broadcast live on TG4 and worldwide on the TG4 Player TG4 Player.
This prestigious live broadcast event celebrates the most outstanding talents in traditional Irish music, honouring exceptional artists across seven award categories. Now in its 28th year, Gradam Ceoil TG4 continues to mark a key highlight in the traditional music calendar, recognising artistic excellence and cultural impact, while showcasing the vibrancy and diversity of the tradition.
